Rider is our most protected speaker yet. Its IP66 rating makes it fully dust-tight and protected against powerful, high-pressure water jets. If a rain cloud breaks or a beer spills, you can guarantee your music won’t stop this waterproof portable speaker.
The steel grill and iconic shock-absorbing ball corners are built to take real hits. We know you might chuck your speaker around or knock it over when you’re in the moment. When you’re on the move, its gonna take a few bumps. It’ll take far more than that to damage this rugged Bluetooth speaker.
Customizable sound and full EQ control
Different environments, atmospheres, and styles of music all require different performance from your sound. It comes with three bespoke engineered sound profiles as standard: Bass+, Outdoor, and Indoor. These are optimized for the moments their names suggest. Want more bass? Use Bass+. Listening in the park? Pick Outdoor. You get the picture.
If you want even more control, customize and create your own sound profiles. Once you’re happy, save it for next time. If you’ve really nailed it, share it with your friends. All this customization is done in the Soundboks app.
Why doesn’t Soundboks Rider have TeamUp?
Unlike Soundboks 4 and Soundboks Mix, Rider doesn’t have TeamUp: the SKAA-powered technology that wirelessly links multiple speakers. This isn’t the result of forgetting–we designed Rider to be a standalone speaker for specific situations.
Soundboks 4 and Soundboks Mix are best for planned events. Music is non-negotiable and plays a major role in the entertainment here. Before guests arrive, you’d make sure to have a proper sound system. TeamUp enables you to scale in stereo, tactically position your sound, and create dancefloors & music zones.
Rider, on the flipside, is designed for spontaneity. These situations are never going to need a full-on sound system. One speaker capable of 118dB volumes gives you the option to party in a far more unorganised and casual way.
